The main transmission of the Tern2 gives you two points of support on the main gear which lets you put more pressure on the fish which is unique to the Tern2 because it allows the main gear to rotate on a bearing. This is a game changer for Accurate because it allows the reel to produce a stronger smoother drag. The Tern2 out-of-the-box is made for intermediate casters. If you want more or less casting you can adjust the counterweights within the reel by removing the side plate.
